My research focuses on the elementary steps in light triggered electron transfer reactions which are relevant for the study of mechanisms for solar water-splitting catalysts. I am studying heterogeneous model systems of surface immobilized organometallic compounds to fundamentally understand structural, electronic and solvent effects on catalytic surface reaction cascades.
