The aim of my research focuses on two directions. On one hand, it focuses on the elementary proton and electron transfer reactions, together with the concerted PCET steps which are relevant for the study of mechanisms for water-splitting catalysts. The second direction aims towards the design, synthesis and characterisation of molecular systems to model and understand the structural effects on these reactions.
